September 2021 Market Update

We are thrilled to bring you September’s market update for Calgary Real Estate! 

For three months in a row, we’ve had 800+ sales per week — it’s been busy to say the least. Inventory, as a result, never had a chance to escalate and stayed relatively the same the entire time. Currently, inventory has seen a drop sitting at over 5,500 active houses and condos for sale on the market. 

This spring was nuts, and we expected it to slow down this Fall — that however hasn’t been the case. We had a three-week lull at the end of August and now we’re right in the thick of it again. Sales are ramping up for properties of all price ranges and we’re seeing an uptick of homes being sold from condos to single-family to acreages. 

Interest rates are still low, which means it’s still a buyer's market! However, it coincides with the seller's market we saw in the spring. It was a smooth transition which led it to be the balanced market we’re experiencing right now.
